Electric Plane, Flying in the Future?

Texas A&M’s Engineering works takes a look at a solar powered plane taking flight in Switzerland early in 2012. The plane uses about the same amount of power as is required to light up a typical Christmas tree. Made of strong-lightweight carbon fiber, the plane is able to fly round the clock, and will take about 36 hours to travel around the globe.
