Clinical trials will test drug that could improve life for aging dogs

For its Pet Talk segment on October 22, 2018, KBTX-TV News in Bryan-College Station spoke to Kate Creevy, associate professor, Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, and lead veterinarian for Texas A&M University’s Dog Aging Project. Creevy discussed the second phase of a clinical trial in dogs that is testing Rapamycin, a drug shown in laboratories to enhance healthful aging in mice and rats.
