Center for Community Health Development

Center for Community Health Development
Mission:

To develop relationships with rural communities and populations across the state, and through those relationships, to discover and disseminate ways to improve the health status, particularly of low-income persons and the disadvantaged.

The Center for Community Health Development (CCHD) works to bring academic and community partners together to reduce the burden of preventable diseases and conditions that affect rural and underserved populations across Texas. CCHD serves more than 100 counties in Texas, and this number grows each year.
