Center for Surface Science and Catalysis

Center for Surface Science and Catalysis
Mission:

Organized to study the fundamental chemistry of processes that occur at the solid-gas and solid liquid interface.

The Center for Surface Science and Catalysis (CSSC) is an interdisciplinary center across the Colleges of science, engineering, agriculture, geosciences, and medicine. It is dedicated to the exploration and understanding of the fundamental physical phenomena that govern surfaces and interfaces of materials, ranging from heterogeneous catalysts, to surface coatings, biomaterials, and cellular processes.
