Mission:

To conduct innovative research and disseminate findings that advance knowledge about effective education leadership and the development of local, state, and federal policies that can support successful school leadership.

The Education Leadership Research Center (ELRC) identifies leadership styles, roles, practices, and designs that improve teaching in schools; examines the professional development of education leaders; examines beliefs, cultural changes, and teaching strategies required to promote achievement; contributes new research and identifies best practices for school improvement; develops solutions to leadership challenges; conducts program evaluation; examines the effects of intervention programs in schools; and builds collaborative relationships with school leaders to improve education leadership.
