Education Research Center

Education Research Center
Mission:

To investigate the nature of educational practice and school resources and to examine their impact on student learning and achievement gaps in order to improve PreK-16 educational policy and decision-making.

The Education Research Center (ERC) was established in 2007 to conduct research on PreK-16 education issues. ERC researchers focus on an extensive range of topics, from college and career readiness initiatives and programs, technology use in PreK-12 settings, and out-of-school time programs in urban areas, to international curricula, effectiveness of charter schools, and STEM initiatives in Texas schools and universities. The Center partners with a broad range of stakeholders, including PreK-12 education systems, other colleges and universities, non-profit organizations, foundations, and government agencies.
