Mission:

To collaborate with other ITECs on technology deployment and investigation within Internet2; collaborate with industry in areas that will make advanced technology open and interoperable; join in research initiatives of Internet2 member institutions; and provide educational venues to make leading-edge technology accessible to graduate and undergraduate students.

The Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center (ITEC) is a center within the Academy for Advanced Telecommunications and Learning Technologies. It works with the Internet2 organization and more than 200 leading research universities in the nation to develop strategies for the deployment of advanced communication and collaboration services. The ITEC supports the advancement and deployment of internet technologies, with special expertise in areas associated with Next Generation 9-1-1, Voice-over-Internet Protocol, and Information Assurance.
