Mission:

To highlight Texas A&M’s strengths and academic leadership in research relating to the study of race and ethnicity and various dimensions; encourage dialogue among diverse methodological approaches and theoretical perspectives; support the interdisciplinary community of social science and humanities scholars through workshops and events; foster supportive mentoring relationships between students and faculty; and understand salience of race and ethnicity as organizing principles in human societies.

The Race and Ethnic Studies Institute (RESI) provides research support to faculty and students engaged in the critical study of race and ethnicity. RESI offers a variety of workshops across disciplines for those seeking feedback on works in progress or an opportunity to discuss seminal works in the field.
