Frequently Asked Questions
A curated funding search is a dynamic search, created and maintained by research administrators, that automatically displays up-to-date funding opportunities relevant to a specific field, topic, or audience. These are visible in the “Curated” tab in Pivot-RP, and update automatically as new opportunities arise or get archived.
Curated searches are built on custom search queries and remain current by automatically pulling in new opportunities matching the criteria, while curated lists are static collections compiled and manually updated by an administrator. Curated searches save time and reduce manual work.
Curated searches are created and published by TAMU research administrators, who choose search criteria relevant for the campus community or specific user groups. End users (faculty, staff) cannot create their own curated searches but can browse and use those made available.
Log in to Pivot-RP, then click on the “Curated” tab in the left-hand navigation. Here, you’ll find featured funding searches that have been selected and published for your college, department, or discipline. You can view the most relevant opportunities without building your own search.

Curated searches are live and reflect the most up-to-date information from the Pivot-RP database. Opportunities appear or disappear as the database is updated, so you always see current options available for application.
For technical assistance or help with using curated searches, contact your college’s research office, the TAMU Office of Research, or the main research administration email contact listed on the website.
