Alexander to expand scope of responsibilities as Associate Vice President for Research

To members of the Texas A&M research community:

Associate Vice President for Research Gerianne M. Alexander officially expanded her role in the Division of Research at Texas A&M University, effective July 1, 2022.

Dr. Alexander will lead Research Development Services and oversee the expansion of services to include broad support of interdisciplinary initiatives, development of proposal teams and proposal-preparation services, internal research-investment programs, and faculty mentoring, among other activities.

Dr. Alexander will continue to provide oversight for the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and to act as the division’s Research Integrity Officer. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from McGill University in Montreal and completed postdoctoral training at the Brain Research Institution at UCLA and the Yale Child Study Center. She joined Texas A&M in 2002 and is a professor in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences. Previously she served as the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs in the College of Liberal Arts.
