Colleagues, the new semester is officially underway, and it’s great to have our students, faculty, and postdoctoral scholars back on campus.

Thank you for the warm welcome I have received as I enter the end of my first month as interim Vice President for Research.

This newsletter is a compilation of many of the happenings around the division that were significant in 2024.

I am happy to support the Division of Research Staff Excellence Awards program, which opens for nominations on October 1. Last year, we recognized 9 individuals and one team, from 6 different units. Please take some time to reflect upon the interactions you’ve had over the last year and recognize those individuals or teams that consistently model service excellence.

The new fall semester is now underway! The campus community looks forward to new and returning students, faculty, and postdoctoral scholars. We know the dedication of the Division of Research staff continues year-round, and we appreciate your efforts.
