The BVEDC was established in 1989 and is organized as a Texas economic development public-private, 501(c)(6) not-for-profit corporation funded jointly by the three local governments (Brazos County, the City of College Station and the City of Bryan), Texas A&M University and approximately 90 private sector investors. Services are provided at no cost to the company and with complete confidentiality.

The Rolling Plains Quail Research Foundation (RPQRF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focusing on one thing: understanding and managing bobwhite and scaled quail in West Texas.
