Ariel Tinney joined Research Development Services as the program manager for internal funding operations, supporting faculty, developing and analyzing research metrics, and assisting TAMU in achieving its research mission.
With over a decade of experience in higher education, project management, and data analysis, Ariel brings a diverse skill set to her role. Before graduate school, she worked in the non-profit sector for Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Southern Arizona and Banteay Srei, developing and analyzing datasets for program evaluation, fundraising, and liaising with donor organizations. Her work in higher education included a position at the ConfluenCenter for Creative Inquiry, overseeing cross-disciplinary research, lecture series, workshops, and symposia. After moving to College Station, she transitioned to the private sector, eventually managing a restaurant group where she streamlined operations and led growth initiatives. Ariel holds a master’s degree in government and public policy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona.
