Promoting greater health equity through the use of a comprehensive bilingual training program for individuals with developmental disabilities and their caregivers and parents

Overview

Public health and special education faculty at Texas A&M University have developed online trainings for people with developmental disabilities (DD) and their families at no cost. Through our training, participants will receive education, support, and resources available for individuals with DD. Participants must be 18 years of age or older, live in the Brazos Valley Region, and be an individual with DD or be the parent/caregiver/guardian of a child with DD.

A $20 Amazon E-gift card will be given to each participant who completes a training topic and surveys, including the pre-training survey, training modules, post-training survey, and 6- and 12-month follow-up surveys. The first 100 participants who complete the pre-training survey, training modules, and the post-training survey will receive an additional $25 for each training topic. Up to $450 will be awarded to participants who complete all 10 training topics.
