Research Security and Export Controls (RESEC) ensures the highest standards of research integrity at Texas A&M University by providing guidance on export controls, conflicts of interest and commitment, visiting scholars and responsible conduct of research.

Core Functions

  • Supports compliance with export control laws regulating the transfer of controlled information, items and technology
  • Oversees disclosures and management of financial and professional conflicts of interest and commitment. 
  • Provides training and guidance on the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) to promote ethical research practices. 
  • Facilitates compliance for visiting scholars and international collaborations, ensuring adherence to university and federal requirements.
  • Manages time and effort reporting for Texas A&M University System entities to meet federal funding requirements.
