The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) at Texas A&M University (TAMU) is responsible for reviewing research involving biohazardous materials to ensure compliance with both University policies and the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant or Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules.
In alignment with the NIH’s March 28, 2025, announcement promoting transparency
and public accessibility in biosafety practices, and as part of our ongoing
commitment to public accountability, the Office of Biosafety now publicly posts
approved IBC meeting minutes for all meetings held on or after June 1, 2025.
Minutes are typically approved by the respective IBC at the next scheduled
meeting.
