Daniel Conway
Professor

Daniel Conway’s research interests include 19th-century European philosophy, political philosophy, critical theory, aesthetics, philosophy and film, philosophy and literature, genocide studies. Conway, a 2016 Arts & Humanities Fellow, will compose a book designed for teachers and scholars working in genocide studies, exploring the relevance of popular films in science fiction. Conway was also a 2021 fellow.

As a figurative painter, Felice House creates large-scale portraits to provide a counterpoint to the passive, overly sexualized female representations often found in art history and modern culture.
Laura Estill

Estill conducts research in Renaissance drama, the works of William Shakespeare, early modern print and manuscript culture, digital humanities, and book history. She is a co-editor of the World Shakespeare Bibliography, found online below.
Katherine Unterman

With her Arts & Humanities Fellowship, Unterman intends to conduct critical archival research to complete a book manuscript titled, After the Insular Cases: Law in the American Empire. Her work specifically focuses on the ways that the Insular Cases affected people on the ground in America’s various territories. Already, her research has taken her to the National Archives and the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, as well as to the Guam Law Library and the Micronesian Area Research Center.
