Laboratory and Facility Assessment

Laboratory site visits will be conducted by biosafety personnel on behalf of the IBC. During these visits, labs and facilities will be assessed according to the policies of the IBC, federal funding requirements, permit requirements, and biosafety best practices. A report will be generated and provided to the PI. All deficiencies must be resolved before the IBC will approve any work with biohazards. Site visits are conducted as part of the initial IBC approval process and annually thereafter.
